Certificate of Authenticity Verification
By / / No Comments
A signature means something.
In a world full of copies, reprints, and things made to look real, this page exists for one reason: to confirm what’s authentic. If your book includes a Dax Calder Certificate of Authenticity, you can use the certificate number below to verify that it was issued as part of an officially recognized signed item.
Every valid COA number is intended to match a specific signed book or collectible item. If the number is found in our records and marked as active, the certificate is considered authentic within our system. If a number cannot be found, appears invalid, or has been voided, the item should not be represented as a verified signed piece.
Verify Your Certificate
Enter your Certificate Number exactly as it appears on your COA card or insert. Please allow up to 48 hours from the issuance of a COA for it to become active in this verification tool.
Example: DC-0001
Official Autograph Verification
Verify a Certificate of Authenticity
Enter the certificate number printed on your COA card to verify whether the signed item is listed as authentic in the official Dax Calder certificate log.
What This Verification Means
A valid result means the certificate number is recorded in our system as an officially issued Certificate of Authenticity associated with an authorized Dax Calder signed item.
Verification confirms the certificate record. It does not guarantee the condition of the item, prevent resale fraud, or replace common-sense review of the signed book itself. Buyers and collectors should always review the item, signature, and accompanying certificate together.
Important Notice
Certificates may be voided if they are reported lost, duplicated, altered, forged, or used in connection with unauthorized reproductions. Any copied, modified, or fraudulent use of a COA number may result in permanent invalidation of that certificate record.
Possession of a certificate alone does not grant any rights to reproduce, commercialize, or duplicate the signature, certificate design, branding, or related materials.
Questions About a Certificate?
If you have questions about a COA, believe a certificate may have been misused, or need help confirming a signed item, contact:
Transfer Request
If you sell or transfer ownership of a signed item, we ask that you notify us so we can update the Certificate of Authenticity accordingly. This ensures the COA remains accurately tied to the current owner and continues to follow the item throughout its lifetime.
To process a transfer, we require verification of ownership. After submitting a transfer request, please email us a photo that includes all of the following in a single image:
- The signed book
- The corresponding COA
- A government-issued ID showing the name of the original owner
- A handwritten note with the current date
This verification process helps confirm that the request is being made by the legitimate holder of the item. These measures are in place to protect the integrity, authenticity, and long-term value of all Dax Calder Certificates of Authenticity.
Ownership Transfer
Request a COA Transfer
Use this form when a signed item has been sold or transferred to a new owner. Transfer requests are manually reviewed before the certificate record is updated.
Final Word
